This is the Fourth UN Committee, also known as the Special Political and Decolonisation Committee (SPECPOL), as it primarily deals with political and decolonisation-related matters.
It is for those who are interested in politics through a geopolitical lens. It is a great research experience especially for those who want to study international relations, political science, or history at university, as it requires an understanding of various political conflicts, peacekeeping efforts, and issues related to decolonization to understand the full picture of the topics being discussed.
The Special Political and Decolonisation Committee includes every member state of the UN, so all delegates wishing to apply can choose any country they can think of, as long as it is a part of the United Nations.
